In 2012, Tresa Halbrooks launched LEGACY Consulting, PR & Events, an award-winning public relations, brand management and special events production firm that focuses on clients ranging from professional athletes and entertainers to corporate entities and non-profit organizations.
Prior to the launch of her company, Tresa directed community relations and events for the Tennessee Titans NFL team franchise for eleven years. She was not only responsible for directing players’ images, community appearances, special events and foundation efforts, but also served as the team's non-profit, community and league liaison. She also planned and directed team events as well as the activities for the Tennessee Titans Women's Association.
She’s coached some of the most well-known celebrities regarding their personal image and philanthropy and her vision has been vital in shaping the overall image of hundreds of athletes across the country for more than a decade. In fact, various NFL players credit her with giving them invaluable guidance that allowed them to become better men, often turning their image around so that they could become the overall athlete they wanted to be. Her company now advises players across the league.
Prior to the NFL, she worked for one of the largest entertainment companies in the country, Gaylord Entertainment and the retail giant, Service Merchandise, working closely with their CEOs on corporate image, special events and philanthropy.
Tresa has played a role in some of the most impressive community efforts and prestigious events for over two decades. She has spent her career working with some of the most talented and illustrious personalities in the sports, entertainment and business community to make a difference in the lives of others.
Her efforts have not gone unnoticed with awards that include the Nashville Business Journal’s Top Forty Under 40 in 2011; Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leaders Award in 2009; Nashville Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award in 2007 and the Tennessean’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2005.
LEGACY is known as one of the top Celebrity Event Planners and was selected as a Best in Business Award Recipient: Event Production & Best Event Planners in 2015 and 2016 in Brentwood / Franklin, TN.
With a degree in Mass Communications and Journalism from New Mexico State University, it's no surprise that she is an author and lifestyle contributor. She became a columnist and contributing writer for Nashville Lifestyles Magazine shortly after landing on the cover in 2003. In 2009, she shared her inspiring personal story in the book Today I am the Person I Want to Be ~ Women's Stories of Success and Inspiration, published by the YWCA of Nashville and is currently working on a new book project. She is contributor to various Nashville media, including her own blog and podcast - Goal Posts.
